If someone is in danger
Contact the police or the relevant emergency service. Do not report it here and wait. 4Warning is not monitored around the clock and nobody here can send help.
What to report to us
- A warning that names, photographs, or otherwise identifies a specific person.
- A warning that appears deliberately false.
- Content targeting someone by race, ethnicity, religion, nationality, disability, gender, or sexuality.
- Harassment, threats, or a warning being used as part of a personal dispute.
- An account posting repeatedly in a way that breaks our Community Guidelines.
- Anything that puts a person at risk.
How to report
- In the app: open the warning and use the report option. This is the fastest route and gives us the context automatically.
- Through this website: use the contact page and mark your message Report Abuse.
What to tell us
The more precise you are, the faster we can act.
- What you are reporting and roughly when you saw it.
- Where it was, as closely as you can.
- Which of our guidelines you think it breaks.
- Whether anyone is at immediate risk. Say so plainly if they are.
You do not need to identify yourself to report something, though it helps if we need to ask a follow-up question.
What happens next
- We review the report against our Community Guidelines.
- Content that clearly puts someone at risk is removed first and reviewed after.
- We may remove the warning, limit the account, suspend it, or close it.
- Serious cases may be referred to the police.
- We aim to look at every report within one working day, and sooner where there is a safety risk.
If you disagree with a decision
Whether you reported the content or posted it, you can ask us to look again. Use the contact page, tell us what you think we got wrong, and a different person will review it.
Reporting in bad faith
Reporting is free and we would rather see a report than not. But repeatedly reporting content you know is fine, in order to have someone silenced, is itself a breach of our guidelines and we treat it as one.
